At just 14 years old, while most children were focused on school, Jaibir spent his days beside his father in a small bicycle repair shop in Sonipat. He learned to repair punctures, fix cycles, and understand the value of honest hard work. Every repair wasn't just another job—it was another lesson in discipline, patience, and earning trust.

Academics were never his strongest suit, but machines spoke a language he understood perfectly. Life gradually steered him toward the automobile industry, where his true journey began.

When his father's bicycle repair shop eventually closed, there was no time to complain. Being the eldest son meant responsibility came before dreams. Jaibir joined a local car workshop as a helper, determined to learn everything the industry had to offer.

Every day became a classroom. From neighborhood garages to authorized Maruti workshops, he absorbed every lesson possible. Engines, transmissions, suspensions, electrical systems—he wanted to know it all. His dedication, honesty, and relentless work ethic eventually earned him recognition as one of the finest technicians for Maruti vehicles, especially the carburetor generation of cars.

Years of saving every possible rupee finally gave him the courage to chase his dream. He opened his first workshop—JD Automobiles.

Unfortunately, life had different plans. Within a year, the business had to shut down.

For many, that would have been the end of the dream.

For Jaibir, it was simply another beginning.

With almost nothing left, he returned to employment and joined Mega Motors in Sonipat. Once again, he worked tirelessly, rebuilding both his finances and his confidence. His technical expertise continued to grow, and so did his reputation.

Then life took another unexpected turn. Family circumstances forced him to leave Sonipat altogether. He moved to Kapashera, Delhi, where he started over once again—this time working independently as a freelance mechanic. The work was difficult, the earnings were limited, and survival itself became a challenge.

Then, in 2007, came the opportunity that would define the next chapter of his career. He joined Qutab Auto, a young automotive startup in Gurugram.

From the very first day, he worked as though the business belonged to him. He wasn't just repairing cars. He was diagnosing complex problems, managing workshop operations, mentoring technicians, handling mechanical and electrical repairs, and building lasting relationships with customers.

Over the years, customers didn't just trust the workshop.

They trusted Jaibir Dhankhar.

But destiny had one more challenge waiting.

In 2012, Jaibir returned to his hometown in Sonipat to visit Satkhumba, a sacred place where he had spent much of his childhood. Ever since he was young, he had been swimming and diving into those waters. It was a place he knew by heart.

That day, he took a dive just as he had done countless times before. What he didn't know was that, over the years, a cemented base had been constructed beneath the water, replacing the deep natural bed he had always known.

Within seconds, everything changed.

He struck the concrete with tremendous force.

The impact shattered his spine.

The injuries were so severe that several hospitals refused to admit him. Many believed survival itself was unlikely. His body was left paralyzed, and the future looked uncertain.

But Jaibir refused to accept defeat.

What kept him alive wasn't medicine alone. It was the thought of his family, his responsibilities, and his unfinished dreams.

Through months of unbearable pain, rehabilitation, and sheer determination, he fought every single day to reclaim his life. Nearly six months later, he achieved what many thought was impossible.

He stood on his own feet again.

He walked again.

He returned to work.

The accident had broken his spine, but it never broke his spirit.

He continued serving customers at Qutab Auto for several more years, strengthening relationships, mentoring technicians, and building a reputation that stretched far beyond Gurugram.

Then came 2017.

This time, when Jaibir walked away, he wasn't leaving with uncertainty. He was leaving with decades of experience, the trust of countless customers, and a dream that had survived every hardship life had thrown at him.

With the unwavering support of his family, he founded Baba Motors.

Not simply as another garage.

Not merely as another service center.

But as a place where honesty matters more than invoices, where repairs are done with integrity, and where every customer is treated like family.

Today, Baba Motors stands as the result of more than three decades of perseverance, sacrifice, and relentless hard work.
